Briefly, the manager presented the case for the house
and Yang moved that the matter be taken to voted --
this was seconded by Wang (CD). The manager warned
that Mr. Guy would be expelled by a majority vote of
from the house members, before voting begain. By secret
ballot, the motion was passed unanimously. [Total {insert}number of{/insert} house
members was eleven and six votes would be the majority]

The house then discussed the time limit for Mr. Guy
to clear out and voted, again unanimously, that he
be given a week's grace to find a new lodging, i.e. he
must leave before 8: p.m. Thursday. 28th July. However,
he may could leave his personal belongings in the
house for another week. viz., till Thursday 28th August.
The motion was moved by Yang, seconded by Ma.

Next, the rent paid by Mr. Guy was discussed, &
Mr. Wang (CP) moved that if a member is expelled,
his rent should be refunded by proportion when he
cleared out of the house. This was seconded by Ma
& voting was unanimous.

The manager then declared the meeting adjourned,
but Mr. Ma informed him that there was another matter
yet to be discussed.

Mr. Ma moved that house should treat the members
present to pizza, or other form of entertainment. This
was seconded by Mr. Wang (CD). The manager requested
the members present to reconsider the motion very carefully
since this might bring complaints from other members.
However, it was argued that if, with such an im-
portant issue of the house to be discussed & decided,
some members could just disappear without any excuse,
then they couldn't care less about how much the house
money is spent. The motion was designed to arouse
their feelings so that they would appreciate the
danger of not attending any meeting without reason.
This was finally put to vote & carried. The sum
to be spent was to be less thatn two dollars per person.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
