My very dear Bro'

Your interesting com

munications of 5th afforded us much pleas[ure]

but also much disappointment because

of you not paying us the first visit

as proposed on the road I trust our intended

Sister does not feel backward because

of her not having received a formal

invitation for I trust that loving as

we do each other, that we also know how

to love and esteem the friends of

happy to see & receive our dear Brother &

Sister at Macquarie Grove whensoever it

may most suit their convenience.

I am necessarally obliged

to forego the pleasure of meeting you

in Parramatta till Monday next having

at this moment our house open & under

going some alterations to render it more

comfortable & again am quite in
