had a very pleasant drive
home in the moonlight. Mrs.
Giles begged us to go & stay
with them for a few days,
so we are going back with
Mr. Giles tomorrow when he
comes with the buggy. Mr.
Giles asked Harry to take
the management of his
Station for a few months
while he is away on business,
we have not decided yet
whether we shall or not.
We met a fellow named Hughes
there, he is helping Mr. Giles on
the Station.

Friday 22nd

One letter from Katie & a paper from Home yesterday.
Mr. Giles came over in the
afternoon & took us back after
the mail came in. Mr.
Johns returned just after
luncheon. We did not
get to Springvale until
after 7, so by the time tea
was over we had only
time to skim over the
Southern papers which
had come by the afternoon's
mail when we retired
for the night. This house
