all day.
Friday 20th
Mr. Lindsay & Cuthburtson [Cuthbertson] arrived
this morning on their way out on an
exploring trip. They are very nice, &
gentlemen. The latter has been 7 times
round the world. The Summer seems
to have commenced & I feel the want of
cool clothing very much.
Saturday 21st
This afternoon Mr. Murray had a
sale of a man's horses who died
here a few weeks ago, to which Mr. &
Mrs. Giles & some of their men came.
Mr. Lindsay & Cuthburtson [Cuthbertson] went
to their camp (4 miles from here)
tonight as they wanted to get
clean clothes, etc. They will
return tomorrow & make a start on
their trip on Monday. Just before
bedtime, Mr. Murray, Harry & I
went about a ¼ of a mile from the
Station to see the niggers corroboring ["corroboreeing"].
We heard their noise while
outside, so went to see the fun. There
were about 10 there, 3 of them
being Station boys. When they are
here they have shirt & trousers given
them, but there they were as the
