Dear Dr. Tresidder,
It was with a glow of pleasure that I read your good letter. Here we live in glorified fox holes, eat C and K rations, and work hard from dawn until dusk which made it all the more enjoyable to relax for a few minutes to contemplate a pleasant future at Stanford.
Most certainly I plan to continue my studies at Stanford, of that I am very sure, but when it comes to subjects, I am not so positive. I would like to get my Engineers degree in Civil Engineering (Highway work) but also I would like to follow up interests in othr lines - Chemistry, Botany, and Architecture. I wish the University had a more outstanding School of Architecture.
For housing I would like room 201 Branner Hall. I had finally managed to get that room and had nearly moved in when the Army
