has been raining off and on back here for the last three weeks. I brought two cameras down here to the Officer's Club in order to take some pictures this afternoon, but now its rain and black clouds.

A week ago we were officially "alerted" and now all of our equipment is [created?] and ready to go. I hate to leave [Audrey?] for the long years ahead, and yet at the same time I am anxious to get started doing whatever there is to do. We were to have departed yesterday but the date has now been postponed. I sent a card to Dick Taylor a few days ago to his Field in Florida. I don't really know where he is. I never hear from [Nick?] but I guess he is happy in San Diego. [Walaby?] is still a test pilot at Lockheed and is able to live at home also.

[Audrey?] sends her very best. We hope you are feeling fine.

Best regards,
Phil

When the time of departure comes my A.P.O. will be D.C.P. [Clock?], 0.455825 [?] 6th Port of [Embarkation?] (Mobile) A.P.O. #1295 Care of [Postmaster?] New York, N.Y.
