air bomber of Stirling aircraft he took part in 5 operational flights, the targets including Aulnoye and Courtrai, in France, minelaying off Kiel, Germany and off Brest, France, and an air sea rescue search. During April he converted to Lancaster bomber aircraft at No. 3 Lancaster Finishing School, Feltwell, Norfolk, and on return to No. 75 Squadron he carried out, as air bomber of Lancaster aircraft, a further 11 operational flights, the targets including Duisberg and Dortmund, in Germany, Chateau Bourgon, Cape Gris Ney, Boulogne, Angiers, Trappes, Ouistreham, Lisieux and Fougers, in France and Louvain, in Belgium.

F/Sgt. Miller was air bomber of a Lancaster bomber aircraft which took off from Mepal, on air operations on the night of the 10/11th June, 1944 for a target in France and failed to return to its base. All the members of the crew including F/Sgt. Miller were classified as missing. In due course his death was presumed to have occurred on the 11th June, 1944. A post war investigation by the Missing Research and Enquiry Service revealed that F/Sgt. Miller was buried in the British Military Cemetery at Bayeux, France.
