Here and at the satellite airfield of Finmere and Turweston he converted to and flew Blenheim aircraft. In August he converted to Boston aircraft at Finmere and was posted to the Ferry Training Unit at Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire on the 13th October and then to No. 88 Squadron at Hartford Bridge, Surrey on the 20th December. With this squadron as pilot of Boston aircraft he took part in four operational flights.

Pilot Officer Moore was the pilot of a Boston aircraft engaged on a night flying training exercise, and which crashed at Burrough Courtmanston near Hook, Hampshire, on the 18th March, 1944 Pilot Officer Moore losing his life. He was buried in the Military Cemetery at Brookwood, Surrey.
