A39881 Aircraftman Second-Class Alfred Henry MOORES.
Father: Mr. B.O.W. Moores of OPUNAKE.

Alfred Moores was born in Owhango, Auckland, on July 28th 1918 and received his secondary education at the Stratford Technical High School. At the time of making application for enlistment in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, he was employed as a salesman by Messrs. J.R. McKenzie Limited, Stratford.

Aircraftman Moores was enlisted at the Technical Training Wing, Wigram, on October 25th 1939 as Wireless Operator being posted to No. 1 Flying Training School, Wigram, early in February 1940.

Aircraftman Moores died of natural causes in the Christchurch Public Hospital on December 12th 1940. He was buried in the Public Cemetery, New Plymouth.
