Dear Friend

While I am not personaly acquainted with you, I have heard of your noble and generous help, in the way of gifts to institutions that were financially embarised. Our church here is in just that condition now There is a debt of eight - thousand dollars against the church, and with almost a total failure of all farm products here this year we have not been able to rais enuff money to pay the interest on the debt, the holder of the mortgage thretens forclosure, if the interest with a part of the principle is not paid by Jan 1. with the present outlook having nuthing to sell, and winter upon us, with not muck work to be had, it will be impossible to raise all of the interest that is due, so I thought perhaps you might be willing to help this church by a Christmas donation to the church to help out its finantial dificulty, as the Lord has blesed you in the past and will more abundently bless those that give to his cause for the salvation of his peaple, now Dear Sister take this to the Lord in prayer and what ever you may feel able to give will be used to pay the claims against this church
