Dear Clara:

I received your well written letter this morning and when I opened it such a fine smell came from it that I thought I was in some garden. I thank you very much for them and I tell you, Clara they spoke so loud that I got home-sick for the moment.

So Gus went hunting, did he, and shot a duck that he did'nt bring home. Well I wouldn't give much for that duck. I guess he is swimming around a lively as ever.
