We walked all arround the bay an did'nt see a thing. We shot some black-birds and then started back. There is a creek about a quarter of a mile from the house and we tried to get accross so we would not have to walk arround to a bridge amount a mile up the stream. I took a long run first and landed right in the middle. I got to a small island in the middle of the bed and waited for Bartlett. He also got wet. We then jumped the rest of the way and go very wet. I had on my old clothes so it did'nt harm.

I sent a pair o socks by mail that need to be "stubft." Send them back again as soon as possible.

We get very scrub oranges up here; they are half rotten.
