carrots. Pumpkins should not be allowed
to freeze. Take in house plants.

Janet Miller had no report on poultry.

Frank Hallowell gave a good account
of his poultry: he has 300 pullets to keep
over, has sold many eggs and had many
chickens for the table.

The Secretary read a letter from
Ruben Brigham, sec. of the pigeon club
asking our aid and co-operation in their
proposed poultry show. It was moved
and seconded that we give encouragement
and assistance to this young club
not yet a year old. The members show
great interest in the enterprise and we
hope it will give them useful occupation
and pecuniary reward.

The Exhibits were excellent, a large pumpkin
was sent by a friend. The flowers
were plentiful and brilliant. Huge chestnuts,
enormous apples, large watermelons,
fine potatoes, white and sweet cabbage,
cauliflower, squashes in variety and
beautiful plums. Roger Farquhar brought
lavender plants for distribution, Annie
Kirk brought a large basket of cauliflowers
for distribution, Anna Nesbitt
announced a beautiful dog for distribution!

Sec. reported no bills and plenty
of money in hand!

A. G. Thomas called attention to the fact
that a person writing a letter this and
month at 10 a.m. or 10 p.m. would write
the date with four tens. 10 a.m. 10th month
