Continue planting corn every
two weeks or ten days, plant cucumbers
for pickles, snap beans, beets and lettuce
for a succession. It is just the right
time to plant pumpkins, Hubbard's
Squash: plant more melons. It is said
that if you spray persistantly with arsenate
of lead, you will have no trouble
with bugs nor blight"

Exhibits

There could not be a more beautiful
exhibition of Roses than those which
adorned or tables. Those brought by Mary
Bond and those from Alloway, coming
a short distance, were especially
fresh, and of exquisite varieties. In
this "flowery month of June, the white
and pink peonies made a fine display
Many other flowers were in perfection
and nearly every family brought
roses. The fruits were strawberries
Cherries and currants. A few new
potatoes, a green tomato, asparagus, lettuce
onions, peas, and good plants of many
other vegetables made a fine display.

Corrie Brooke brought the new vases
for which the society paid her .65 cents.
