{130 }H/6/1912-4.

It is thought it ios worth while to try.
{3}Will Cymblings, watermelons and pumpkins
mix if planted near together? Yes.
{4}Shall we transplant Nasturtiums or wait
for rain? Plant now, water and shade them.
{5}Will brine kill poison vine? Catherine Janney
wasked to try it and report the result.
{6}Is it too late to plant soup beans? No.
Plant when chestnut trees are in bloom.
{7}When move a pear tree? Some would leave it
until fall as there is so much to do in
the Spring, but most member prefer
moving trees and plants in the Spring.
Hanna Stabler had a plum tree killed
with tobacco water. Some members say other
beans come up but do not grow; the buds
turn brown. Striped bugs, rose bugs and
slugs are fewer than usual. It is considered
a good plan to put a heap or mound
of earth around melon vines after they
begin to run. Ellen farquhar brought Kudzu
vines to give away.

In our walk, the very fourishing
condition of the Roses excited admiration.
The gardens were in good order
and growing in spite of the want of rain.

The next meeting to be at Knollton.
