{3}When set out raspberries, not set out in
the Spring? Now as soon as they are done
bearing.
{4}What put on Asters to kill the black beetle?
Picking them off seems the most certain
way.
{5} A member has some fine seedling
peach trees, is it worth while to set them
out? Yes. Somethimes fine peaches come
from seedling trees.
{6} Has any one been successful in raising
sweet peas in the house? Hone of us
have tried it.
{7}What variety of grape is best? Concord
is a favorite with many. It is more likely
to bear well in this region than other kinds.
{8}How long before they will bear? The third
year.
{9}Why do we fail to raise late peas?
They do better in a codler climate. Those
planted in Feb. or Mar. are better than
those planted in May or later. One member
had pease from some planted in
August which is the only success on
record in our minutes.
{10}How plant raspberries? It is considered
best to plant in a row which can be worked
on both sides. A member is going to try
planting them along a fence.
{11}A member showed a bunch of grapes
on which black spots had appeared.
