{142} H/9/1912-4.

Albin G. Thomas brought an apple for a nany.
A new way of saving Lima beans for
seed was given. Take the middle one where
there are three a pod, the middle two
out of four, the middle three out of five
always discarding the end beans. A person
who tried it found the beans increased
wonderfully.

Our guest from Bermuda said they
had no Lima beans in her country until
Mrs. Janney took them some seed. Now
they have them all the year round. Some
of our members do not leave more than
two plants to a hill.

{5}.When trim trees on a lawn? In October
Dr. Magruder grafted English Walnuts
on Black Walnut trees and intends experimenting
with shellbarks.
A member who tried planting cucumbers
in with corn found it a good plan.

We visited a good garden full of
fine vegetables. The vines were loaded
with grapes which we sampled
in passing.

The next meeting to be at the
Cedars.
