The Forethought committee of one
receives much well-merrited praise.
Our President tried one of her recipes,
fly powder on cabbage worms with good
results; other members join in commendation.
A.G. Thomas would like the monthly
report published, several suggestions
were made. John Bentley moved that a
committee be appointed to consider the
matter, which was done. The committee consisted
of A.G. Thomas, John Bentley, Frances
Stabler and Mary Magruder.
Committee on Poultry, Sarah Farquhar
read an article claiming that chickens
hatched by hens are stronger
than those hatched by incubators.

Exhibits

The fine vegetables, fruits and
flowers on our tables, made a beautiful
display. The large pumpkin from
Brooke Grove attracted much attention
(we wonder how many pies it would
make) a good sized watermelon and
other fine vegetables shared its praise.
In the collection from Rockland there
were a cluster of apple blossoms, a cluster
of apples the size of marbles and handsome
full-grown apples from the same
tree(?) From Riverton a sugar beet
weighing 10 1/2 pounds and many other
