In the flower garden finish preparing
plants for the house and bring in when
frost threatens. It is better to move shrubbery
in the spring but it can be done in
the fall. Plant plenty bulbs, tulips, hyacinths
etc. Give roses a good dressing
of stable manure in the fall to be
raked off early in the spring.

The Exhibits

Were excellent, from twelve places.
From Hermon were 11 varieties of apples
named and labeled; several baskets of
fine mushrooms were on the table
and a plate beautiful strawberries
from Dr. A.A. Brigham. The exhbition
of Dahlias exceeded all previous ones
and the roses were exquisite. Edgewood
brought a bean a yard long.
