In the flower garden, trim rose bushes after

flowers were splendid. The rose unexcelled
by previous exhibitions; other flowers fine
and growing plants well advanced.

Poulty

4516 chickens, 128 turkies, 20 ducks,
12 goslings. There is no record of the
poultry for last June, to compare with this
but undoubtedly for chickens this "the
best ever."

1. Is it profitable to keep an English Walnut
tree which does not bear well? No.
2. How many garden pests have appeared
this season? Very few comparatively.
3. Is it too late to plant sweet potatoes?
No. A writer in The Farm Journal says
he succeeds better by planting from the
first to the middle of June than earlier
or later.
4. How get crab grass out of asparagus?
Try coarse salt.
5. Is it too late to plant asparagus? No.
6. How raise egg-plant? Sow in hot bed
