48th Meeting

The Home Interest met at Philip
Stablelrs Jan 9th 1875, the December
Meeting was skipped on account
of the sickness of Walter Brookes children
and their being without servants.

The meeting was small in the afternoon,
on account of a trial which called
some of the gentlemen away. Edward
Thomas was appointed forman and with the assistance
of the Gavel, presented to the Society
by Alban G Thomas, kept us in very
good order. After the reading of the minutes,
we proceeded to the questions, as the
outside of the house offered few attractions
with the thermometer at 10o and still falling
20 members present and some guests.

1st Question
Is it too soon to set Hens?

2nd None set earlier than first of March
although it is said those who set early and
keep the young chickens warm, are successful
