last meeting here, the invitation to walk
out and inspect the surroundings was accepted,
and we made the tour of the yard
and garden. The peas were up and growing
and the strawberries & Raspberries quite forward,
and if careful training insures success,
the gardener may expect an abundant
crop of grapes. Under a movable cold frame
were some canteloupe vines, giving fair promise
of early fruit. On returning to the house, we
were invited in to supper; which claimed
all our attention, and considerable time.
Next in order was the minutes of the last meeting,
which were read. Carrie L Brooke, and
Frederick Stabler were appointed to read at
our next meeting to be held at Sunnyside. The
20^thof the 5^thmo. one week earlier than the regular
time, in consequence of Asa & Albina, expecting
to be at the Centennial Exposition, in the 21^st
