Wallace & Co written to Wilson.
"We paid in the matter of
the purchase from the R M
C & I Co in 1871 a payment
was made to them by our
surrendering a check that
we had received from the
mine dated October 31. 1871,
for $5264.72., and we re-
ceived the receipted invoice
$2650 and a check to balance
