A windy day but clear. Jim and Ben cut some wood. Ben Went to Strait Stone and carried some chickens. I cooked meat and made scrapple. Churned and made three pints of butter. Nellie cut Jim some shirts. Mabel has been very good today. Heard that the sick was getting on very well. Mrs. Farmer come to Kates yesterday. Edna got a cake from Emily for a valentine.

A good day. Ben was at Renan all day judge of electon. Jim went and voted. Irvin come for me. I went and voted. Then went to see Kate. She is very feeble yet. I hope she may get well. I met Mr. [Duepney?] for the first time. He is a nice looking man. Nellie got dinner for the crowd that was here. 21 of us. Edna begged Nellie to make batter bread for supper. It was very nice. Ben got home for supper. [Clement?] was ahead at Renan.

A good day. Jim and John cut today. Ben went to Chatham with Odie Kellie. They carried the poll books. Clement was elected. Nellie got dinner. Fried pies and baked tea cakes. She made a scarf for her mother. She got a letter from Evylin. I got a letter from Carrie Smith. Her baby is sick. I went to Johnson Reynols. They were well as usual. Julia Ferguson had gone to see her Aunt Kate. Jim Farthing bought him a car today. Reubin Reynols brought me home in their big car. I sewed a little today. Made Franklin a union suit.

A clear colde day. Jim and John Ward (col) cut wood. Ben plowed. Colde enough that the land froze as he turned it up. Nellie cut out some little suits for Mrs. Fitz boy. She done the most of the cooking and dishwashing. Mr. Thomson sent here for butter. I let him have a little. Christine Reynolds come. She wanted butter. I could not let her have any. I churned this evening. The children went to school. Mr. [Duepe?] was sick and did not teach. I hope he won't be sick much.

A good colde day. Ben plowed part of the day. Jim and olde John cut all day. Ben and Henry has gone to Strait Stone. Ben went to the lodge for the first time in several months. Nellie sowed some today. I cut some pieces for a quilt. I [washed?] some this evening. I let Edna and Franklin go to Reynols this evening. They did not stay long. Mollie was gone to see Mrs. Kellie. She is sick. Norman Booker carried Ben to Strait Stone tonight. Edna got the first butter cup today.
