83 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Sep 3 1886 Miscellaneous On motion a special Committee is appointed by the mayor consisting of J M Frink, R Russell & Joseph Green to report upon the construction of the Grant Street Plank Road On motion of Councilman Lake, Councilman Russell is appointed a committee of one to sell one of the City Horses. Ordinances The clerk submits an ordinance entitled "A special ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" which is passed by the following vote: In favor of the same Frink, Green, Lake, Hinckley, Russell and Reitze. Against none. 88 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDIGNS OF THE Sep 17 1886 Miscellaneous On motion of Councilman Lake the chief of Police is directed to notify property owners on line of Front Street condemned sidewalk to immediately build a new sidewalk. On motion of Councilman Furth the City Attorney is directed to prepare and submit an ordinance granting the Pacific Postal Telegraph Cable Co the right to erect poles and stretch wires within the City limits. On motion of Councilman Furth the sum of One Hundred and ninety dalloars is ordered tranferred from the City Fund to the Cememtary Fund, and the City Attorney is ordered to draw and submit to the Councilat the next regular meeting Ordinance authorizing such transfer. On motion of Councilman Lake it is ordered that one 32 Caldlepower electric light be placed in the city Stable Ordinances An ordinance is submitted by the City Clerk entitled "A special ordinance appropriating money to pay audited Bills" which after due consideration is passed by the following vote: In favot of same Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Lake and Reitze against none. 95 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Oct 1 1886 Miscellaneous On motion of Councilman Lake it is ordered that the Council proceed on a body to examine that portion of Main Street which the Columbia & Puget Sound R R Co wish vacated, tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 o'clock PM. Councilman Reitze moves that a sidewalk be ordered built onSeventh Street between Madison Street and Union St. There being no second to the motion it is lost. The Chief of Police reports verbally that he has suspended officer Wm Morris for conduct unbecoming an officer. On motion of Councilman Furth the matter is referred to the Committee on Health & Police said committee to report at an adjourned meeting of the Council to be held Tuesday October 5th next at 7 o'clock PM Ordinances An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance authorizing the transfer of $190.00 from the City Fund to the Cemetary Fund of the City of Seattle" which after due consideration is passed by the following vote: In favor of the same C W Coulter, J Furth, J M Frink, Jos Green, T D Hinckley, T W Lake, R Russell & C F Reitze against none. An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance relating to the bidding in ans purchase of real property in sales on execution of foreclosure in action wherein the City of Seattle is a party " which after due consideration is passed by the following vote: In favor of the same C W Coulter, J Furth, J M Frink, Jos Green, T D Hinckley, T W Lake, R Russell & C F Reitze against the same none.
