Sunday, April 6, 1919
A good day. Jim & Ben staid at home all day.
I went to Mr. Owens twice. I went & dressed the baby and come home. Then Mrs Owen fainted and I went back a while. Mr Owen carried his neice home to day. Lee & Elsie come and eat dinner with us.
Elsie had her new baby with her. I think he is a fine baby. I was very glad that they came. It is the first time that Lee has bin here this year or Elsie for that matter.
I have not seen or heard from Marvins to day. Hope they are all well.
Henry went to Mag Brumfields to day. Said he had a fine time.

A good day. Ben & Jim & Owen worked on the branch to day.
Lovel Witcher come here to day.
I went to Mr. Owens this morning.
Effie Brumfield and Hugh and I went to White Falls. We had Lee Brumfields horse and buggy. I was glad to get to go.
Josie got dinner and went to Marvins. Josie went to Posie Reynols's for turnip greens this mornin. We enjoy them so much.
Posie & Nanie intends startin to see Julia Ferguson tomorow.
I got a letter from John to day.

Tuesday, June 17, 1919
A good day. The men plowed all day. Ben went to the mill mightty a gainst his will.
Josie made jellie & preserves this morning. We had cabbage for dinner the first time this spring.
I went to Johnsons this evening. I went with Lee B
Clifton Reynolds come home this evening on a visit. He is on his way to North Carlina.

Wednesday, June 18, 1919
A good day. Jim & Ben sowed some peas. Ben went to Lee B after them and carried all the children. Henry carried two doz eggs. He bought match and fly powder & chewing gum.
Henry done his first plowing to day. Dr Bennett and Henry Bennett come to see Jim & Ben today.
Josie ironed this morning. I got dinner. This evening I ironed some & then went to the sweet potatoe patch. They are lookin well. I come through Jims tobacco ground. The tobacco is growing some.

Thursday, June 19, 1919
A shower this morning but a clear evening.
Ben & Jim sowed peas this morning. This evening Ben cut wheat for Lee Brumfield. Oskar Brumfield thined corn for Ben. Edna and I thined 26 rows this evening.
Josie made Ben two shirts today. I caned some beets. The first that I ever caned. I choped a little in the garden & replanted some cucumber hills. Put up some onions. We are getting plenty vegatables now.
