A good day. No rain today. The men folks worked on the barns. Jim helped Mr. Booker on his flues. Kate Harvey and Irvin and Bill come a little while. They got some grapes. Denia and Cordie Blair come to see us. Carrie and three of her children come. We let Edna go home with them. I was glad to see all of them. Wish they could come often. Kate brought me some snaps. Jim has some fine mellons now. Mabel has a bad colde. Hope she may get well soon. I have finished stringing snaps. 10 oclock at night.

A good day. Jim and John Ward cut corn. Ben has bin at Lees all day. The children went to school. Evylin washed a big washing for them. Nellie kept the baby. I got dinner. Lelia Ward come this morning and got a chicken. She said she wanted it for their dinner. Heard today that Evylin Hutcherson is sick. Jo Edmons is bad off yet from getting hurt. I hope that they may get well soon. Today is Mabels birth day. She is four years old. I am writing by the light of four little wax candles that I made for her. She is very well except a sore ear.

A good day. Ben and John Ward plowed. Jim set up corn by him self. Evylin washed. Nellie nursed. I got dinner and churned. The children went to school. Late this evening Ben and I and three childred went to Strait Stone. We had got out of several things and had to have them. Ben and Henry and George Blair and Lawson Emerson has gone hunting tonight. Mrs Carr is here tonight. We are glad to have her as log as she will stay.

A good day. I am at Reynols this morning. Christina brough me home this morning. Found them all well. I milked after I come home. I churned and got dinner. Jim stripped tobacco. Henry rolled wheat land a while. Ben shod the horses. Mr. Booker and two children and Miss Louease[?] Booker come this evening. I was glad that they come. Miss Booker played on the piano a little. Ben and the three children went to Rob Hubbands this evening and will stay all night. They carried the dog with then. Ben wanted to go hunting. Henry went to Strait Stone. I hope nothing bad will happen to him.

A rainy morning. Began to rain last night a bout ten oclock and rained most of the night. Ben stopped at Lee Brumfields and staid all night. Went to Gretna today and solde the tobacco. It solde very wel] I think. They got home half past nine tonight.

Jim stripped some tobacco then heard that Mr Ned Walker was sick. He went to see him. Found him a little better off but right sick yet. Ben got Henry a suit of clothes. Nellie got word to come to [Rensenes?] where Evylin is staying.
