A rainy day. It has rained some for five days. Every thing is nearly drowned. The men folks has not done anything much to day.

Josie got dinner. Nellie washed and dried and ironed some of her clothes this evening.

I milk and churn.

Josie sewed some this evening.

Tom Edmons has cured a house of primings, the first that has bin cured a bout here.

A good day. Jim fired tobacco all day. Quit at night. Has cured two houses of primings. Edwin staid here all day. Paul Bennett & Loney come a little while this morning. Paul got his hair cut this evening. Ben and family went to Jim Powers and Rob Hubards.

I milked & got supper and Jim, Edwin, and I eat before they got home. I have not heard from Marvins to day.

Edwin finished reading Philo Gubb to day & slept two hours.

I read some in the land mark & [?].

A little cloudy but no rain to do any good.

Ben carried Virginia Harvey to Gretna on her way to school. Jim tied tobacco all day. Mr Owen is working on tobacco two. Jack Harvey painted most all day. Ben & Henry helped some this evening.

Two life insurance agents come here to day.

Josie got most of the dinner. I baked a peach pie this evening. I made some apple jellie. Went to the orchard and got a basket of apples.

Went to Marvins a few minutes. Come home and dressed a chicken and milked the cows.

The men folks has gone a opossome hunting to night.

Jack Harvey went from here tonight.

A beautiful day. Jim is in Chatham. Ben worked on Marvins car most of the day.

The children went to school.

Josie got dinner. I washed some.

This evening Josie and I went to Marvins a while. Come home. Josie g[ot] supper. I milked. The children got wood and water.

Ben has gone hunting to night. I mended Edna dress to night.

A cloudy day warm and good. Ben & Owen worked on the wheat land. Jim has not bin well. He had the tooth ache and his jaw is swolen. Josie got the most of the dinner. Nellie attended to the baby.

To day is my birth day. I am 73 years olde. I got up at five oclock and got breakfast. Seven: milked two cows then churned. Washed 68 pieces and went to Marvins. Come home and milked.

Nellie & Josie got the supper. I kept the baby.

Ben said he would carrie me to the river. I had no one to go with me. Thought I would wait and go some other day if I can.

I started John a letter to day.

Ben has gone hunting to night.
