Report and plans adopted and Clerk directed to advertise for bids for constructing same Fro Street Committe recommending that the petition of E F Lange for removal of obstruction in Jefferson Street be not granted adopted From Same committee returning petition of W H Bow et al for a new bridge on Lincoln Street recommending that the same be not granted. To the Hon the Mayor and Common Council of Seattle Gentlemen Your committee on Fire and Water beg to represent that thet is a pressing demand for Fire Hydrants to be placed in various portions of the City, and that the Fire Department had no hadrants on hand to meet such demands. Your Committee therefore, recommend that drawings and specification for a Fire Hydrant be prepared & that bids for 20 hydrants be called for a soon as possible. Your comittee would further recommend that a slip be constructed at the foot of Moetke Street on Lake Union for the accomodation of a Fire Engine incase of Fire and that all persons be warned from placing slabs or other obstructions at the foot of said Street.
