A beautiful day. The men folks staid at the barns most of the day.

Paul carried his mother home this morning. Josie staid at home and got dinner then went to Reynolds. Marvin carried Josie and Edna and Franklin Carrie and four of their children. I spent the day there. Posie and Nannie and baby was there. Julia and baby. We had a pleasant day. They had plenty of water mellons. Ben will have to stay at the barns to night.

A beautiful day. There was a killing frost last night. We all staid at home until after twelve. Ben and Josie and Edna and Franklin and Paul went to Mr Powers. Henry and I went to Marvins. All at home a gain to night. Ben and Owen and Paul want to start to Gretna in the morning at three oclock.

Alma Bennett was at Gretna this evening. She talked with Carrie Smith. I was very glad that she did. I am always glad to hear from them.

A good day. Ben is one of the Judges at Elections. He was at Renan all day. Mr Owen hauled some wood. We needed it mighty bad.

Josie and I and Reese put some tobacco in the pit. Josie staid at home and got dinner for her self and Edna and Franklin. Marvin carried Reese and Henry and I to Banister River to fish. We caught twenty one fish.

Carrie gave us a nice mess of steak we had it for supper.

Heard today that Max Creasy died this morning. I am sorry for the family.

I have shelled a few beans to night. Am most a sleep now. Heard today that Jessie Hutcherson is at home on furlow for 48 hours.

A good day. Ben and Owen worked on Owens house.

The children went to school except Franklin. He is not well. I hope that he may get well soon.

Kate Harvey come down here to day and eat dinner with us. While she was here we heard that Chesley Edmons was dead. We all are so sorry for them all. The papers tell that peace has bin declared. I do hope that it is true.

Kate got a letter from both of her boys that is in France. Jack is in the hospital hope that he may be well soon. Tonight Ben and Marvin has gone to Level Run guess they will be back soon.

A good day. Ben and Owen went to Altavista this morning got home by dinner time.

Josie mended some garments this morning. We got a snack for dinner.

This evening I went to see Mollie. She was making a dress for her self. They had a mighty sick pig. I think it will die.

Mr and Mrs John Smith come to see Marvin and Carrie this evening. They had two of the girls with them.

Josie and Franklin went to Mr Owens this evening.
