A good day. The men folks planted tobacco all day. I drawed plants all the time that I could. Mrs. Owen drawed this evening.

Beatriss Owen went to Long Island to meet her cousin. She did not come.

Josie got dinner and churned. She picked straw berries for dinner.

Two of Carries children are sick. I am so sorry. Hope they may be well soon.

Paul Bennett commenced to work at Marvins to day. I do hope that they may make a good crop.

Cordie & Nettie Blair come here this evening. I did not see them.

A good day. Ben went to Jim Powers and got some tobacco plants. Josie come home with him. I got dinner. Jim replanted tobacco.

Cordie Blair & Doratha and Ruth Worsham come this evening.

A cloudy day. Rain tonight. Ben cut his oats to day. Jim come home from Chatham to night. He come with Johnson Reynolds.

Mrs. Owen come a while this evening. Brought her new baby Benjamine Franklin.

I went to George Blairs this evening. They were getting up their wheat.

Mr Charley Hutcherson was planting corn this evening on wheat land.

Isla Blair & Cordie was gone to Ren Worshams

Ben bought a sack of ship [?] stuff from Irvin Lewis.

A good day. Ben & Owens hauled up wheat. Jim turned some land for a turnip patch this evening. Jim helped thrash wheat at Hutchersons.

Josie got dinner. This evening Josie & Franklin went to Marvins. Henry worked a little in the tobacco.

Edna and I went to George Blairs then Isla & Cordie and Nettie and I and Edna went to the creek at Kellies Bridge. We caught caught a few fish.

Denia baked some tea cakes while we were gone. I certainly did enjoy them.

Rain a gain to day. The boys toped some tobacco this morning.

Josie washed some this morning and went to Carries this evening.

I went to see Mag this evening. They were all well. Doris & Fannie had gone to Mrs Kellies. I come by Kates to see Jack but did not see him. Irvin & Jack had gone to Lee Brumfields for some aples.

I started to walk up there. I went by Marvins. Reese wanted to take me and they let him. I am mighty glad that they did as it rained so hard that I could of hardly got home. Cordie & Nettie was at the store.
