A good day. Cordie went to see the Drs this morning. I staid at Willies all day.

Cordie and I went to see the big ware houses. I was a fraid I might get lost but I did not. Effie & Mary both put new cuffs & collars on their coats. Miss Walker come with Cordie home from down town. Effie is makeing her a hat to wear to the parade.

Now it is bed time.

A rainy day. We are still at Richmond. They expected to have a parade here to day but it rained so they did not have it. There is all sorts of side showes and merry go rounds in the city. We that is Effie Brumfield and all of her children, Cordie Blair & I went to the city.

We went to see Alma Bennett. She is in the best of spirits. They have taken off the cast that they had on her leg. She has a room mate that has a baby. Alma says that she likes her fine. Willie & Jack are away yet.

A rainy day. We went down town. Come home and eat dinner. Effie locked the doors and could not unlock them so she got a man to come and bring a ladder and climed up on the porch and went in at the window. We have eaten supper and will go down town to night I guess. Hope to be at home this time tomorrow and hope to find them all well. Cordie got her glasses today.

A cloudy day. Ben & Jim stripped tobacco all day. Finished a cureing for Jim. Josie and I got dinner.

This evening Josie made starch and starched the clothes. Denia and Cordie Blair come this evening. I was glad that they come.

Marvin solde his last tobacco at Gretna. He was well pleased with the sale. Nat Wooding got two pounds of butter from here this evening.

A good day. Cloudy tonight. Ben & Jim worked on their plant bed this morning. This evening Ben helped Mr Owen load on some tobacco. Mr Cothram come to look at a cow. He did not decide what he would do about takeing her. Josie washed all the morning. Some thing that she should not do if I could help it but I cant.

I went to George Blairs this evening. Denia and Cordie was all of the family that I saw. Isla was stripping tobacco. Heard today that Mr Hutchersons little pet dog was dead. I know they were sorry a bout it getting killed.
