A clear morning some rain tonight. Ben and Owen hauled in some feed. Owen plowed this evening.

Ben carried Josie and I to Cedar Forest. Josie went to see Mrs Powers. Ben & Henry and Edna and I went to the creek and fished.

Caught a few fish.

Ben got stalled and had to have help to get a way. Josie got dinner. I picked beans. Mr Farthings cows come here to day. Ben put them up. They got them this evening. Marvin worked on his fence to day.

A clear day.

Ben and Marvin worked on their barns.

Sallie and Isla and Cordie Blair and Lottie Craddock all come to help Josie q uilt. We finished the quilt. Josie got dinner. Josie and I and all the children went to Carries a little while late this evening.

I got a letter from Ludy Pugh to day. Ben got one from John Brumfield.

A rainy morning clear this evening. Effie Brumfield Mollie Reynolds and [I] went in town this evening. Went to see the moving pictures. We went a gain to night. Willie and Mary went with us.

I think Richmond a mighty pretty place.

We went in the green house and looked a round. There is lots of pretty plants there.

This is wrote May the 15th in the morning before breakfast.

Cloudy this morning clear tonight. We went to New Port News this evening.

Crossed on the boat twice went to Hampton Roads could not see the aviators after we went. They were not flying this evening.

We certainly did go a round. I have seen more than I ever expected to see. Guess it will be the last time that I will ever see down here a gain.

A clear day we need rain so bad.

Ben worked tobacco half of the day then cut wheat for Marvin this evening.

Josie got dinner. I churned and then worked the sweet potatoes and pea nuts

This evening I got up some of the onions.

Josie sewed all the evening. Carrie got Hazels pictures to day. She is not pleased with them. I am anxious to see them.
