A good day.

Ben and Owen and Paul planted tobacco. Mrs Owen and I drawed plants. Josie got dinner. In the evening Josie went to the plant bed. I planted some potatoe slips.

There was a lot of hard thunder this evening but no rain. Kate Harvey come a while this evening.

A cloudy day. Ben & Jim sawed wood this morning and cleaned up a plantbed place for a potatoe patch this evening. Tonight Ben has gone to Strait Stone to a meeting of the lodge. Jim has gone to Reynold's to meet Nellie. Evyline is at Johnsons.

Josie got dinner. She baked a cake this morning.

I knit some and dodged around all day.

Marvin Smith and Mr Padget come a while tonight. I was glad to have them. Mr. Owen went to Strait Stone this evening he drove Pomp.

A beautiful day.

Ben & Jim and Owen burned a plant bed & sowed it. Ben & Owen hauled some stalks and cut them for feed. Josie and I ironed and got dinner this evening. I went to Marvins a few minutes. Mr Mayhew is here tonight. They are playing cards.

Josie got a letter from her mother this evening telling her that her sister is not getting on well. I guess that she will go to see her soon.

I got a letter from Thelma Brumfield this evening. She seems to be getting on well.

A good day. Ben & Jim and Owen worked on plant beds this evening. Ben sawed wood for Mr Edmonds.

Josie washed. I got dinner - then went after Franklin. He ran a way and went to Carrie's. He eat dinner up there. We all sat in my room tonight. The other fire place had some brick out so they would not make a fire in it.

A good day. The men folks hauled feed all the morning, finished a plant bed and plowed up a potatoe patch this evening. Josie finished Edna's dress today. Josie got a letter from Mary Brumfield to day.

I worked some button holes in Eva Smith's aprons & carried them home. Marvin is very much complaining this evening. Something killed one of my hens last night.

Edna did not go to school to day. She has a bad colde
