Committee on Fire and Water report recommending the Exclusive use of Madison St Slip for the Fire Boat Snoqualmie as asked for by the Fire Commissioners report read and adopted. Same sent to H fo D for concurrent action. Judiciary Committee reports favorably on B of A Bill #11. An Ordinance providing for the appopintment of a Clerk by the Different Committees of the Board of Aldermen and the House of Delegates Bill Called for 3rd reading Wilcox offered and amendment to Sect 1 to read "City Clerk" instead of Committee of "Board of Aldermen and House of Delegates'' Amendment carried. Bill passed by following vote as amended. In favor Bogardus, Holbrook, Korn, Miller, Pontius Snyder, Wald, Wilcox Mr President Against none Same sent to H of D for concurrent action. Judiciary Committee reported favorably on B of A Bill No 2: AnOrdinance to perscribe the duties

37 Board of Aldermen of the City of Seatt;e Nov 3/90 Of the Fire Commissioner and to more fully organize the Fire Department on site having passed its 3rd reading was passed by the following vote In Favor: Bogardus, Korn Miller, Pontius, Wald, Wilcox, Holbrook snyder mr Presodent against none Sent to the H of D for concurrent action. Cummunication from the H of D stating B of A bill No 7 (special) had passed on full vote as amended: Amendment read and concurred by B of A and bill signed by President and returned to H of D for signature of their president. Alderman Wilcox chairman of the Street Light Committee protested against paying car fare when obliged to go and investigate the necessity of lights as asked for by petitioners On motion by Wald Same be referred to Salary Committee. Carried Sealed proposals for City Printing were introduced and on motion were laid over until next meeting! 1 Board of Aldermen and House of Delegates Oct 17th 1890 the Board of Aldermen and House of Delegates of the City of Seattle meet in joint session pursuant to law at the City Hall this 17th day of October 1890 7:30 PM. President of the Board of Aldermen Geo W Hall in the chair. At Roll call the following officers are present. Bogardus, Holbrook, Korn, Miller, Pontius Snyder, Wald & Wilcox of the Board of Aldermen Barnes, Barton, Cowden, Davis, Furry, Hart Kittinger, King, Lansing, Morford, Muldoon Shipley, Willis Mr President of the House of Delegates The following Proceedings are had. Now comes the message of the Mayor which was read & Approved. Motion Miller that 23 [copies?] of the message be printed for the use of the members of both Houses Carried. Motion Miller that committee of (5) five be appointed in accordance with recommendations of teh Mayor to confer with the Engineer in regard to the Water Works. Carried. Chan appointed on Committee Miller & Wald from B 0f A and Lansing Shipley, & Kittinger from House of Delegates. Motion Korn that the presidents of both Jouses be add to the committee carried. 3 Board of Aldermen and House of Delegates of the City of Seattle The Board of Aldermen and the House of Delegates of the Cityof Seattle meets pursuant to law in Joint Session the 5th day of December 1890 to canvass the vote of specl election had in the 8th ward of teh City of Seattle in the First day of December 1890 for the electionof a member of the House of Delegates to fill vacancy caused by the failure of J U McAusland to qualify of his election on teh 1st day of Oct 1890. Prest Geo W Hall with chair. At Roll call the following officers are present Bogardus, Holbrook, Korn, Miller, Pontius Snyder, Wald & Wilcox of the Board of Aldermen Barnes, Baton, Cowden, Davis, Furry, Hanford, Hart Kittinger, King, Lansing, Morford, Muldoon Shipley & Willis of the House of Delegates The following proceedings are had January the last meeting read & Approved. Motion of Jones that a committee be appointed to canvas the vote of the Spcl election held with 8th Ward of the City in Dec 1 1890 to that a number of the House of Delegates to fill the vacancy on the House of Delegates caused by the failure to qualify of J A McAusland motion was carried and the chair appointed as the Committee Jones, Pontius & Kittinger Reports of teh Committee to canvass the vote a said spcl election find that Mr N B Baghy was duly elected to be a member of the house of Delegates from the 8th Ward.
