A good day. Ben & Jim cut wood all day. They have gone to the store at Renan to night. Mr Mayhew come here tonight but did not stay as the boys was gone. Josie is some better off at this time. Nellie was sick to day. Josie baked pies for dinner today.
Henry & Reese went to Renan this morning. Josie sent for Salmon. This evening they went to the school house after Sophia the dog. I went to Marvins a while this evening. They were all well. Eva has commenced cralling.

Tuesday, March 4, 1919
A good day. Ben and Owen cut wood this morning & shucked some corn this evening.
Jim worked on the orchard all day.
Josie got dinner and went to Carries this evening. Henry went to school, got knocked in a mud hole, and had to come home to change his clothes.
Tonight Tom & Claud Edmons come up here a few minutes to see Jim and talk a bout West Virginia.
Jim & Ben has gone to Renan.

Wednesday, March 5, 1919
Clear this morning at five oclock then clouded up and has bin a very rainy day.
The men folks shucked some corn. Marvin went to Altavista with his waggon.
Henry & Edna went to school and came home through the rain. Mr Mayhew is here now. He eat supper with us and they are playing cards now. I got dinner & Josie ironed

Thursday, March 6, 1919
Cloudy most of the day. No rain yet. The men folks cut wood in the woods.
Josie ironed. I got dinner. Kate Harvey come and eat with us. She worked some button holes in Reese Smiths waists
I made a canvas for Jim. Henry and Edna went to school.
I got a letter from Fanny Emerson this evening.

Monday, March 17, 1919
A partly cloudy day Ben & Owen hauled tobacco stalks and shucked two shocks of corn. Ben went to the mill got home after dark.
Kate Harvey come down here a while. I went to Carries a few minutes then cut some salit.
Josie staid at home all day. Franklin tried to ride the tricicle nearly all day. Miss Salie Strange and Effie Brumfield went to Mr Willie Mayhews tonight. Edna went to school to day. 9 oclock.
