A cool windy day. Ben & Jim stripped some tobacco this morning. This evening they killed a calf that we called Billie Sunday. We had a wind storm last night and a little rain. Not enough to do any good. We need rain as bad as I ever have seen I think.

Josie has bin bad off all day with her jaws and throat. I do hope she may be better soon. She made Edna a negro doll this evening. I went to Denias this evening. Found them all well. I have not seen Carrie today. Hope she is getting on ok.
