A good day. Jim worked the garden. Ben fixed a mellon patch and went to the mill at Cedar Forest. I went with him. Edna & Mabel went. I fished a little while. Caught 4 fish all small.

Josie and Edna & Franklin & Mabel was all at Marvins this evening. I am glad that they come to see Carrie. Effie & Hellen and Doris Brumfield and Virginia Harvey was at Marvins this evenin. The first time they have come this year. Effie & Hellen will stay all night at Mags to night.

9 oclock

I shelled two bushels of corn this morning.

A good day. The boys planted corn all day. Henry done the planting. Jim layed off the rows. Josie ironed all the morning. I worked over my chicken coops. Helped get a snack for dinner.

I went to Marvins. I worked a few button holes.

Josie went to Renan store. She bought some fish. Cooked them for supper. They were fine.

The cow got in the garden. Did not do much damage.

A good day. Jim & Ben and Henry worked tobacco all day or nearly all day. Josie washed this morning. I got dinner. I cooked cabbage & potatoes and beets & onions. All raised in the garden this year.

This evening I went to Marvins a few minutes. Carrie was sewing. I have suffered some with my hip nearly a week. I am glad that I am able to go as well as I can. Do hope it will soon get well.

A good day. The men folks worked tobacco all day. Ben went to Hubbard's store tonight. He carried three of the children with him. Josie ironed most of the day. This evening I went to Marvins. Thought I might get to go to the store but Reese was so busy that he could not go. Carry was sewing on a dress for her self. Ben got done his little[?] crop of tobacco. Hope they can get Jims done tomorrow. We have a good garden for this time of the year.

Henry is reading and it will soon be 10 oclock.

A cloudy day. No rain to do any good. Lizzie Bennett got dinner. I mended some overalls. Alma ironed some cloth this morning. Gordon & Frances and the boy come over here this evening. I walked to the garden this evening.

I got a note from home this morning. I was glad to get it. They said Mabel was some better when they wrote. I do hope that the children will keep well and all of the rest of them. I feel anxious a bout them all and my self two. I hope my leg will soon be well.
