The following Officers are present, towiut: His Honor the Mayor, H. G. Struve and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, B. F. Day, Geo. W. Harris, Chas McDonald, B. L. Northrup, Otto Ranke, U. M. Rasin and F. W. 441 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Mar 7/84 following Vote, towit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, Harris, McDonald, Northrup, Ranke, Rasin & Wusthoff. Against Adoption none. The following Ordinances are submitted by the Revisor of City Ordinances & referred to Judiciary Comtee as follows, towit: To amend Ordinance No. 317 For the recovery of fines & penalties To prevent certain animals from running at large Defining & providing for the restraint, employment & punishment of Vagrants Enumerating & providing for the punishment & abatement of Nuisances Defining & prescribing the punishment of certain misdemeanors Miscellaneous Ordered that the Attorney be & he is hereby instructed to submit an Ordinance requiring all applicants for liquor licenses to state in such applications the place of business & to confine the applicant to one location as stated Ordered that G. N. Alexander be & he is hereby awarded the Contract for grading the Intersections of Jackson & 12th Streets in accordance with his proposal Ordered that the Surveyor be & is hereby instructed to remove the monument corner Mill & Commercial Streets & to re-establish the same Levys for Improvements Ordered that the rate of assessment in order to provide funds to pay for the Grading done on Washington Street under Ordinance No. 369 between Commercial & 9th Streets be & the same is hereby fixed at the sum of 59 mills on the Dollar. Ordered that the rate of Assessment in order to provide funds to pay for the Roadway made on Washington Street under Ordinance 369 between 9th and 12th Streets be & the same is hereby fixed at the sum of 31 mills on the Dollar. Ordered that the rate of Assessment in order to provide funds to pay for the Sidewalks constructed on the North side of Washington Street under Ordinance 369 from about 120 feet East of Commercial Street to 3rd Street be

Ordered that the Street Commissioner be & is hereby instructed to remove all obstructions in Alley in Block 107 D. T. Dennys plat. Ordered that the time for the completion of the Mill Street Sewer be fixed at 35 days from the time of executing the Contract
