G.C. Phinney 110 Seneca Street

Seattle Washington Sept 5th 1893

To the Honble The Council of the City of Seattle Gentlemen The petition of the undersigned humby showeth, 1. That there is no light on the north east corner of Front & Seneca Streets 2. That there is very great need of an arc light on that locality, for one reason among others that the sidewalk there is very uneven in two places, that usual accidents have already occurred there at night, and a light would be a very great service to the public & greatly appreciated by them. Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your honorable body will consider the needs of the public in this respect and cause be mentioned as said corner an arc light during the night of sufficent power. O N Morse Seattle Outfitting Co. G C Phinney Amos Brown J S Goldsmith pres SAC
