180 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Apr 15 1887 Which is adopted by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Furth, Green, Hinckley, Lake, Russell & Reitze. against none. An Ordinance is submitted by the Clerk entitled "A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" Which is passed by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Furth, Green, Hinckley, Lake, Russell & Reitze. against none. Miscellaneous On motion of Councilman Furth consideratin of the Ordinance in relation to organizing the Fire Department is continued until Tuesday evenins next at 7:20 o'clock PM On motion fo Councilman Lake the vote rejecting the petition fo Amos Brown for permission to move the Melhorn Block from its present location on the West Side of Front Street to the lot on the East side of Front Street immediatly north of the Opera House is reconsidered. On motion the petition is granted by the following vote: Ayes Furth, Green, Lake & Reitze. Noes Hinckley & Russell. On motion of Councilman Furth ordered that the rate of assessment in order to provide funds to pay for the construction of a sidewalk on the West Side of Front Street under Ordinance No 802 be and the same is hereby fixed at the rate of 19&1/2 mills on the dollar. On motion the Plats of Green's addition to the City of Seattle and Preston and Carr's addition to the City of Seattle are approved.
