A shower this morning but a clear evening.

Ben & Jim sowed peas this morning. This evening Ben cut wheat for Lee Brumfield. Oskar Brumfield thined corn for Ben. Edna and I thined 26 rows this evening.

Josie made Ben two shirts today. I caned some beets. The first that I ever caned. I choped a little in the garden & replanted some cucumber hills. Put up some onions. We are getting plenty vegatables now.

A very rainy day. Ben & Jim got out a few peas this morning.

Josie sewed. Made Franklin some under waist and drawers and Edna a pair of drawers. I phoned to night to hear from Mrs. Edmons & Miss Alice Wooding. They are very sick yet. I want to go to see them soon.

Some rain to day.

Ben went to Cedar Forest for his horse that he left yesterday. The river did not get very high. Not like it was expected to. Ben come to Strait Stone and helped to sein some. Brought home 4 nice cat fish.

Josie cleaned up the cupboard some. I got dinner. Potatoes & peas and beets.

Mr. Owen went to see his brother to day.

A good day. Jim staid at the barns to day. Ben & Owen and Marvin and Paul Bennett and William Gilbert (col) all worked on Bens tobacco pulling and hangin leaves. I handed leaves all day.

Josie got dinner & churned. Put out some apples to dry. The school teachers want to know what to depend on and worrie Ben lots.

Jack Harvey come this evening and got Jake and the buggy. I hope he will take care of them.

Jim Emerson passed here to day with ladies on the car.

We had peas for dinner today. They come from George Blairs.

A good day. Ben & Jim and Owen cut corn all day. Josie & I peeled some peaches and made preserves. We had snaps for dinner, the last that we will get this year without it rains very soon.

Josie sewed some this evening and gathered some peas. We have finished shelling them tonight. I went and dug some potatoes & washed them.

Mr John Baily and Miss Angle was here this evening. They were going a round a bout the schools. They did not see Ben.

Edna got my book & pen and ink for me tonight.
