Strong & Harkins Contract Work Final Payment 818.47 Miscellaneous Ordered that with the consent of the Contractor, the Contract for the Construction of a sidewalk on Spring Street be & the same is hereby rescinded. The following Officers are present to wit: His onor the mayor H G Struve and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, B F Day, Geo W Harris & U M Rasin Thereupon the following porceedings are had: And now the Council proceeds to consider an Ordinance entitles "To amend Section One (1) of ORdinance No 262 entitled An Ordinance granting the right to the Oregon and Trans Continental Railroad Company and the Columbia and Puget Sound Railroad Company and to authorize said Companies to construct maintain and operate a single of double track railroad along the Water front of the City of Seattle" After due consideration said ordinance is adopted upon the following vote to wit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day Harris & Rasin. Against adoption none. Claims Paid South 3rd Street Improvement #399 G N Alexander Contract Work Nos 566 to 571 $2800.25 An Ordinance is submitted entitled "A special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" Adopted upon the following vote, to wit: In favor of adoption Clancy, Day, Harris & Rasin. 395 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Nov 2/83 In favor of adoption, Clancy, Day, McDonald, Rasin, & Wusthoff. Against adoption none. Ordered that the Attorney be & is hereby insructed to submit an Ordinance to fix the Salary of the Fire Warden at $150. a year. Miscellaneous Ordered that the Treasurer be & is hereby requested to pay all warrants in favor of Street Laborers out of any monies not other wise appropriated. Attest: E S Osborne clerk Approved H G Struve mayor Nov 12/83 Be it remembered that on this the 12th day of November 1883 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The following Officers are present to wit: His Honor the Mayor H G Struve and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, B F Day, Charles McDonald, U M Rasin, Otto Ranke & F W Wusthoff. Thereupon the folowing proceedings are had: Ordered that the call of the regular order of business be suspended with and the Council proceed to the Considerataion of C B No 57 to amend the Charter of the City ; thereupon the Council proceeds with the consideration of said bill; thereupon after amending the said bill save & except Section 37 which said section the Council upon a tie vote fail to agree upon the apportionment of the Councilmen from the First & Second Wards. It is ordered that the Mayor be & is hereby instructed to deliver said bill as amended to the members of the Legislature from this County. Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned.
