A good day. John Brumfield was here. Ben did not do much work. He moved the fence so the cows could go to the straw stacks.

Josie got dinner. She had baked chicken and beef steak. I think we all enjoyed the dinner. Mrs Carr has a bad colde.

This evening Ben carried John to Gretna. I went with them. Tenia met John at Gretna. He said that he would go back to Portsmouth tomorrow.

Willie Mayhew carried his family to Chatham to day on his truck. Gasoline gave out and he got some from Ben to get the truck home.

A good day. Lizzie was here this morning. She went to Carries and eat dinner. Ben & family and I went to Creasys fish pond. They drewed the water off. They caugh several nice fish and a lot of turtles.

I came back to Marvins and eat dinner. Josie come up there & the children. They had an egg hunt and had some nice candy. Lizzie and I went to Johnson Reynols. Mollie was not at home. She & Robert and Christenie & Janie Brumfield had gone to Jim Thomsons.

We went to see Nanie a while. Mrs Yeats was at Posies.

Jim Brumfield come home this evening.

Ben & Mr Mayhew went to Gretna this evening and got Bens wire for a fence.

A very rainy day. The branch was out of the banks. The men plowed in the corn a little while this morning. I was here by my self except Henry in and out.

I got potatoes for dinner. The calf got in the corn this evening. Henry and I got it out & mended the fence. I wrote a letter to Effie this evening.

A good morning. We all staid at home. Nellie & Evylin come this morning. Mr Tup Walker brought them. Kate Harvey & Carrie Smith and the little children come a little while. Jim & Ben went to the creek. Had to hurry back on account of a cloud. We have had the hardest rain I most ever saw. The branch is as high as I ever saw it. Washed the fence a way below the spring. Oh I am so sorry a bout the high water.

Evylin is playing the piano.

A cloudy day. This morning the fences washed down and away. I lost a 4 galons of milk besides lots of other damage. Josie got dinner. Nellie sowed some on Josies dress. Evylin straitened up the parlor. I churned. It was a hard matter to get a fire a bout eleven oclock.

Mr Glass and Mr Vonwagner come. They eat dinner here. Nell & Evylin went with them to Chatham.

The boys killed the bees in two hives this evening.

Jim & Ben and Mr Owen went to Renan this evening. There has bin three or four cars passed here today. The roads are very bad.

Josie & the children and I went to Marvins this evening.

Paul Bennett got the car in the creek and never got home until twelve to day.
