299 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE July 16/83 such necessary repairs and extension to the Inclines at foots of Columbia and Washington Streets as they may be advised. Ordered that the Plans and Specifications for the Engine House on Columbia Street be changed so as to shorten said building 5 feet with a reduction of $200.00 on the contract price provided however, that the contractors and their bondsmen assent in writing thereto. Ordered that the Committee on the Columbia Street Engine House be and they are hereby instructed to take all necessary means to house the Engines, dispose of old Engine House and to place the Fire Bell in a position so as to be used.
