Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Monday October 23 1882 at 7 1/2 o'clock p.m. Attest: E S Osborne Clerk Approved H G Struve Mayor Oct. 23/82 Be it remembered that on this the 23rd day of October 1882 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The following Officers are present, to wit: His Honor the Mayor H.G. Struve and Councilmen John Collins, Chas F. Clancy, Fred Gasch, Chas McDonald and U.M. Rasin. Thereupon the following proceedings are had. Petitions Received From E.H. Plummer et al remonstrating against combining 2d and Jackson Street grades in one district. Referred to Committee on Streets and Street Improvements. From A.W. Engle et al for a sidewalk on the south side of Washington Street from a point 90 feet west of 3rd Street to 2d Street. Adopted and Judiciary and Legislative Committee instructed to submit a proper ordinance. From Sisters of Charity et al for a sewer on Madison Street from 5th Street to the Bay. Referred to the Committee on Streets and Street Improvements. From Srig. Verem Orion for the refunding of the amount of Concert license paid. Referred to the Committee on Licenses and Revenues. From Jacob Levy et al for street lamps on Front Street near University and Seneca Streets. Referred to the Committee in Gas Lights. Reports Received From Health Offices submitting quarterly report. Referred to the Committee on Health and Police.

And now Frank Peters files his application for a retail liquor license. Referred to the Committe on Licenses and Revenue. Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned. Attest: E S Osborne Clerk Approved H G Struve Mayor Office of the Mayor of the City of Seattle October 25, 1882 A meeting of the Council is hereby called to convene on Thursday October 26 1882 at 7&1/2 o'clock p.m. at the Council Chamber for the transaction of any business that may be brought before it. H G Stuve Mayor Oct. 26/82 Be it remembered that on this the 26th day of October 1882 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to the call of His Honor the Mayor. Referred to the Committee on Streets and Street Improvements Committees Reports Received From Streets submitting bids for Jackson Street Improvement Ordered that all bids be rejected From Streets and Street Improvements recommending that the Contract for Union Street sidewalk under Ord No 324 be awarded to Hoole & Simpson on their bid for the same. Adopted Ordered that the bond of said Constructions be fixed in the sum of $500.00 & that the City Attorney prepare the proper Contract & Bond.
