Referred to Finance Committee From Elizabeth H Anderson praying that she be granted permission to keep an ice cream standcorner of Front and Cherry Streets on July 5th rejected From J D Lowman for permission to move the buildings now situated on the west side of Front Street between the "Arcade" and the Yesler Leary Block across Front St. Granted Committee Reports Received From Committee on Fire and Water in favor of establishing a Fire Alarm System in accordance with the terms submitted by the Sunset Telephone Co at a cost not to exceed $250.00. Report adopted and the City Attorney directed to submit a contract with the Sunset Telephone Co therefor From the committee on Gas Lights recommending that the petition of J B Metcalf et al for certain additional stree lamps on Jackson Street be granted. adopted The city attorney submits an ordinance entitled "An ordinance authorizing the mayor and clerk to execute a certain contract", which after due consideration by the council is adopted and passed by the following vote viz: In favor of said ordinance J Furth, G W Hall, T W Lake, R H Calligan, ChasMcDonald and G W Young; against none. Ordered that the council do now adjourn H L Yesler, mayor attest W R Forrest, clerk
