The Atty submits an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute a certain Contract". After due consideration said Ordinance is adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Frye, Harrington, Northup, Rinehart, Snyder, Sox, Yesler & Latimer. Against the same none.

The Atty submits an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance for the Extention of Elaine Street, and to provide for the condemnation of Real Estate necessary therefor". After due consideration said Ordinance is adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Frye, Harrington,Northup, Rinehart, Snyder, Sox, Yesler & Latimer. Against same none.

The Atty submits an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance establishing a public street to be called Howard Street, and to provide for the condemnation of Real Estate necessary therefor". After due consideration said Ordinance is adopted upon the following vote, towit: Infavor of adoption Frye, Harrington, Northup, Rinehart, Snyder, Sox,Yesler & Latimer. Against the same none

After due consideration said Ordinance is adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Frye, Harrington, Northrup, Rinehart, Snyder, Sox,Yesler & Latimer. Against the same none. An Ordinance is submitted entitled "A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills". Adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Frye(struckthrough), Harrington, Northup, Rinehart, Snyder, Sox, Yesler & Latimer. Against the same none.

Miscellaneous

In appearing to the Council that Chas F. Clancy a member of the Council for the First Ward has been absent 6 regular consecutive meetings of the Council without leave or excuse, therefore ordered that his office as such Councilman be & is hereby declared vacant

The Committee on Health and Police make the following report, towit: "To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle. Gentlemen: Your Committee on Health & Police beg to report that whereas certain reports have come to our ear namely that Chief of Police H. J. Woolery did not comply with instructions given by the Mayor in regard to obtaining evidence to be given to the Grand Jury against the proprietors of the Gem & Monarch Saloon for selling liquor without a license. That Chief of Police J. H. Woolery did on last Sunday May 10th absent"
