A good day. Ben and Josie went to Chatham in Marvins car. Marvin went as far as Gretna. Henry and Edna and I staid at home.

I killed a chicken this morning. Mollie Reynolds come a while this morning. Denia Blair and Lottie Craddock come this evening. Josie went to see Nellie Brumfield and eat dinner there.

A good day. Ben and Owen plowed most of the day. Josie got dinner.

Isla come over here this morning. I went [with] her to see Ben. We come by the plant beds and got a few cabbage plants.

We had early supper and all went to the school house. The Gretna folks come down and gave a play for the benefit of the Red Cross. There was a big crowd there.

A good day. Ben helped Tom Edmons work on his car all the morning.

I went to George Blairs. They had a lot of company from Gretna.

Josie and Ben and the children went to Jim Powers. Mrs Carr come home with them home. Paul had a horse and buggy to day. He went to Riceville to preaching.

Prince got in the corn and eat a lot of it off. Chesley Edmons got him out of the corn.

A good day. Ben carried Jim to Gretna this morning. Earl and Paul Bennett went some where from here this morning. Josie and I got dinner. Kate and Irvin Harvey come today.

Mr Mayhew and Mr Dews and Owen and Charley Hutcherson and two children was here this evening.

Ben is at the barn to night. We heard that Jo Edmons broke his arm this evening. I am very sorry for him also his folks.

A good day. Ben and Paul fired tobacco all day to day and will stay at the barns to night.

Mr Owen and Henry went to Gretna carried primings. They sold well.

Josie baked a cake and got dinner. She went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. I picked a few beans this evening.

Cordie and Nettie Blair come a little while this evening. I did not see them. I was at the bean patch.
