A rainy day.

Ben and family went to Jim Powers carried Thelma and Julie to the Island. They started home today. I wish they could have staid another week.

I staid at home most of the day went to Marvins a little while.

Ben broke his car to day. I am very sorry.

Paul Bennett went with Marvin to Sunday School to day.

A good day. Ben and Paul got out tobacco sticks today.

Josie went to Mr Jim Powers today and got damsons. She carried all three of the children with her. Denia Blair come over here this evening. We went up to see Carrie. She was gone to see Julia Fergerson and Alice Thompson. We staid at Marvins a while and then went home.

Some one stole some of Bens water mellons last night.

I had a letter from Thelma to day.

A cloudy day and some rain. Ben and Paul made fires under the tobacco this morning. Josie and [I] got dinner.

Josie went to Mr Powers this evening. Henry Blair brought Mary and Bill from Long Island to Mrs Hendricks and Josie brought them here. Miss Alice Wooding and Mrs Winston come this evening. Carrie and the children come a few minutes.

Dews and Mayhew and George Hutcherson come and played croquet.

A good day. There was some frost this morning.

Ben finished firing his tobacco this morning. Ben and family went to Jim Powers to day. I went to George Blairs. They were all gone to Strait Stone to preaching. They had a good dinner and I enjoyed it.

Carrie and Marvin and the three little children come over there. I come with them back on the car.

Josie and Ben was at home when I got here. Tonight Marvin and William Gilbert are here filling out Williams questionaire. I hope he may never have to go to the war.

A beautiful day. There was a killing frost last night. We all staid at home until after twelve. Ben and Josie and Edna and Franklin and Paul went to Mr Powers. Henry and I went to Marvins. All at home a gain to night. Ben and Owen and Paul want to start to Gretna in the morning at three oclock.

Alma Bennett was at Gretna this evening. She talked with Carrie Smith. I was very glad that she did. I am always glad to hear from them.
